I may be, where do you live?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
BTW, these are finished in tru-oil again, over two seal coats of shellac. Much better finish than on my first, but still not there. I think by one more build I will have a good finish schedule figured out.

Ron, Ron, Ron, my very fine Southern brother, not only your boys are the lucky ones who will be making great Southern nights music with these 2 very gorgeous instruments but they are the lucky ones to have the Dad that you are for who you are, a great man!

Handcrafted Guitars( or any other instruments including the banjo ) as gifts are to me the most wonderful and magical gifts any human being can ever receive and you just showed us all the true warmth that is in your heart for your kids but also to your family and for all your friends and i'm very proud to be one of them.

You we're the first to welcome me here buddy and let me now congratulate you from the bottom of my heart for a very beautiful labor of love. Both guitars are to die for and you can be really proud, i know your sons will be!

I love ya Man!

Serge

Thanks, Serge, that means a lot to me. Very kind words. Yes, I think the boys will be overwhelmed. Can't wait.

Hey, you Canadian friends, up there. You left the back door open again. 73 in Arkansas today, but the high on Thursday is supposed to be about 40. Even a possibility of snow.

I foresee another project...

Unique and appealling design, fine workmanship and a lot of heart--nice work, Ron!

BTW, wasn't it you who bent one set of sides thicker than you'd intended? Did you leave them that way? Did it affect the sound compared to the other?

Wow! How wonderful! I must admit-- I like your use of the zero fret. That is something I haven't seen very often. Oh yeah-- the rest of the guitars are VERY nice too!!!

Very,Very Nice! It would be easy to go on about
The Fine craftsmanship, the attention to detail,
and the purpose of the twin build. But one word says
it all. Priceless!!!

Outstanding workmanship Ron, that cherry looks gorgeous. I'm sure your boys will be over the moon, but please don't tell my sons as they'll want some as well! The standard round here just goes up and up.

Those are beautiful, great job! Now one of the first things I wondered was how did they sound next to one another, did one sound better or at least very different than the other. They look to be twins in every respect, curious if they sound like twins?

Fantastic Ron!

I love cherry guitars as they are beautiful and sound amazing! I'm sure your sons will greatly appreciate this labor of love!

Do they both sound the same?

Thanks again, fellows.    I've only spent a few minutes playing each and haven't drawn any conclusions about close in sound they are.

Yes, Carlton. One set of sides was bent at .08, the other was bent at .125
After they settle in for awhile, I will try to make a comparison as everything else should be identical (or as close as possible).

Ron

Gorgeous in all respects, lots of nice personal detail, but still classic. Wonderful stuff.

Has anyone said "COOL!" yet?
Looking at these presents-to-be, I got so excited my infantile vocabulary kicked in. Ron, that's like totally awesome, dude!
Ok, ok... no kidding, what a great Christmas is going to be had by two young men! And, I'm sure your thrill will be even greater. I second the request for pix of the presentation.
Looking at the name plates, I was betting you are glad your sons' names aren't longer? I mean, what if one of the names was something like Aristobulous, or some such? "Matt" seems so much easier.

Well done,

Steve
